Resumen
A modular architecture for the control of rational agents is introduced. The Smart-Events Architecture, SEA, is supported in three important concepts: the agent control system, which is composed of a set of concurrent modules, the use of specialised channels to control the activation level of each module, and an smart event communication mechanism. SEA was implemented in Java language, generating a framework for agent control design. Its operation was successfully validated in a real robotic environment using an Aibo robot.
