Resumen
The objective of this text is to make known, through the life experiences of transgender women living in the city of Bogotá DC, the main social and state responsibilities regarding health care. To this end, a qualitative approach was made to five transgender women and five people accompanying the process, through the application of semi-structured in-depth interviews, recorded, transcribed and with information analyzed in Excel by generating variables from the discourse. In conducting the study, the self-care practices of transgender women predominated, created and adapted individually, assuming the health risks above the benefits considered well-being situations that guaranteed their health.
