Resumen
With 50 years of experience, the journal “Revista Interamericana de Psicología (RIP)” has been consolidated into a central body of debate and it has enabled an increasingly global exchange of ideas in Psychology. By observing the central role of RIP in the development of the field, the present paper draws a road map of the journal, focusing on the impact it has had on the current configuration of the Psychology community. This work is based on an alternative approach: publication, collaboration and use trends, the Editorial Effort Index and Internationalization Index, from which the role of RIP is analyzed resulting in high standards of internationalization. This study is considered in the period 2005-2015 and Redalyc.org is used as a source of information.
