Resumen
The massive acquisition of land by foreign agents is a worldwide phenomenon that has deepened in recent years. This phenomenon, referred to in the international literature as land grab, has reached numerous countries, mainly the underdeveloped ones, being Brazil being one of the most impacted. In the case of underdeveloped countries, economic and social problems have been deepened as a result of these investments, particularly the land grab have aggravated the structural factors of inequality in land tenure, real estate speculation and poverty. Thus, the article seeks, by means of bibliographic review, together with a cartographic analysis, to describe the dynamics of land grab, particularly in some states in the Northeast region of Brazil.
