Resumen
Adolescence-youth is the stage of the life cycle where a change in behavior is evident and the strengthening of the meaning of life occurs. In addition, entering university life is an ecological transition that presents changes in the person's behavior in this sociocultural context. This article aims to determine a multivariate prediction model (MPV) between psychological factors and lifestyles with the perception of quality of life of university students (adolescents-young people) who belong to three Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) of Bogota Colombia. A cross-sectional correlational quantitative study was carried out on a sample of 1,135 university students with an average age of 21.5±3.5 years, of which 41.9% (n=475) are male and 58 .1% (n=660) correspond to the female gender. A Cronbach's Alpha ≥ 0.772 (α) was found, indicating investigative reliability. In turn, the MPV shows three correlations: «Psychological Factors ↔ Lifestyle (β=0,69)», «Psychological Factors ↔ Quality of Life (β=0,59)», and «Life Style ↔ Quality of Life (β=0,51)». It is concluded that the MPV can vary when evaluating other types of HEIs, other localities or regions where different sociocultural contexts are evident and, therefore, the MPV cannot be definitive or generalizable. It is necessary to carry out more studies on psychological factors and lifestyles, their possibilities and interferences in the quality of life of university students in this stage of the human life cycle.
