Resumen
This article proposes some reflections on the literary theory of 20th century as a problem, which means a set of not transparent issues and whose vitality is not an evidence. First, we explain the problem behind the vitality of 20th century literary theory, as we understand it, and then we expose a brief diagnostic of Western and Latin American contexts. Afterwards, the article analyses some principles of what is known as postclassical narratology, in order to seek within it some critical and controversial features of literary theory through a characteristic element of 20th century theoretical movements: the problem of ideology. © 2022 Universidad Nacional de Mar del Plata.
