Resumen
In this paper, we identify possible factors associated with the fact that a Colombian returned becomes an entrepreneur. The Colombia’s 2012 Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM) data was used and Binary regression models were fitted. The probability of being an entrepreneur after returning to the country is associated with: have a role model, the individuals’ perception about their own capabilities and skills, the educational level, saving during the time living abroad, and making contact with people which may be partners or suppliers in Colombia. Other studies to deepen into the factors associated with the entrepreneurship would be carried.
