Resumen
This chapter demonstrates how some transformative organizational ecosystems in Colombia define response strategies to the challenges of the society-nature relationship that are framed within the Papal Laudato Si Encyclical, which offers action alternatives to this relationship to confront the ecological situation of the world. It explores the response strategies to these issues through the practices followed by six solidarity organizations in Colombia based in rural areas. Management sciences have taken science concepts such as biology to explain the trajectory, emergence and evolution of organizations. The concept of Ecosystem, in biological terms, contains five features which can be combined with an organization’s system to understand its evolution. The methodological approach is a case study which has different perspectives. Twenty interviews were conducted between 2017 and 2018 of people linked to the cases and to promoters and officials of the City Halls in the case areas.
