Resumen
This article presents a review of the primary contributions of contemporary behavior analysis to social and cultural issues in order to approach an analysis of peace cultures in the Colombian case. Different authors like Lamal, Glenn, Guerin, Mattaini and Biglan with its origins in Kantor and Skinner, from psychology, and Harris, from cultural anthropology, are described. In the same way, some coincidences in behavior analysis proposals and other not necessarily psychological perspectives are shown. Based on behavioral principles and on the concept of metacontingency, those that would characterize a peace culture are proposed, recognizing the advantages of cultural design. Finally, the importance of the behavior analyst's political responsibility is concluded, and also his/her convergence with political psychology.
