Resumen

The authors regret the following discrepancy in this article: In the paper titled “Tibolone protects T98G cells from glucose deprivation”, T98G cells were inaccurately mentioned to be an “astrocyte cell model system”, when in fact are a glioma-derived cell line that retains astrocyte-like properties, such as the expression of the astrocyte markers GFAP and vimentin. Neither the goals of the study, aimed to test the protective effects of tibolone in this cell model, nor its results and conclusions are affected by this rectification. The authors apologize for an inconvenience this may have caused.
