Resumen
This article argues the need to understand the experiences of denial of place, evidenced in the most recurrent way in contemporary migratory flows. For this purpose, it outlines a hermeneutics that reconceptualizes place on the basis of those experiences, aiming to construct a hospitable global order. The article is based on the diatopical hermeneutics of Boaventura de Sousa Santos and his specific approach to the concept of place, to show the limits of its classical definition as a discursive and political resource. Finally, it contrasts said definition with experiences of denial of place, such as exile and the condition of those without a state, interpreted as figures of atopon.
