Descripción

The international cooperation related to armed conflict relief goes a long way that begins with donors governmental institutions related to this topic and finishes with the recipients of this cooperation in conflict zones. If we think of this process as a chain, in the middle other links usually are international cooperation agencies, international NGOs, recipient governmental institutions, and local NGOs, among others. At intuitive stands ¿and in order to maintain coherence¿ it is possible to think that perceptions and the understating about the Colombian armed conflict are the same for all parts involved within this international cooperation process; however, looking for valid evidence, beyond the intuition, what we propose is a study of the Canadian/Colombian case. Hence, the central research question of this proposal is: what are the most relevant trends within perceptions and understanding of the Colombian armed conflict to be found in the chain (Diagram 1) that begins with the governmental institutions (Canadian in this case) related to this topic and finishes with the Colombian recipients living in conflict zones?
