Descripción

Recently, it has been described that the kinetoplastid membrane protein 11 of the parasite fused to the heat shock protein 70 elicits a CTL and antibody specific response in mice which leads to protection. Given these facts, the aim of this work is to identify the production of interferon gamma (IFN g) and/or interleukin 4 (IL-4) by KMP-11 stimulated-T lymphocytes of chagasic patients and healthy individuals as Th1 or Th2 response markers.
