Descripción

The overall objective of the project is to evaluate the effects of red palm olein-rich diet on plasma lipid pattern in hypercholesterolemic patients. This main objective will be reached through determination of the effect of two different dietary interventions based on red palm olein and extra-virgin oil on the total antioxidant capacity of plasma and on the erythrocyte membrane and plasma lipid-related to CVD risk factors in two groups of 75 hypercholesterolemic subjects each.
