This research aims to identify the personal, organizational and / or contextual factors that foster agency processes in University faculty. These factors will be explored considering changes occurring in the higher education sector regarding the internalization of business logic and the new administrative management. These changes bring a series of contradictions and challenges to university faculty that they face to enhance their ability to generate agency within their workplaces. a mixed methods research will be developed (survey and interviews with key informants), with professors from at least 3 of the 8 universities established in Cali. Findings will be able contribute (from the theoretical and the technical point of view) with ideas towards institutional policies that promote the educational agency. also, this study will allow to explore aspects of universities faculty subjectivity connected with their work and to explain why agency develops in this kind of workers.
