Exploracion de video mapping aplicado a objetos escultoricos

XXI Century has been marked by an extense visual experimentation and new languages that relate to different technologies from basic informatics, image developing softwares to creating virtual and augmented reallity environments. This new media meets with multiple visual representations that generate effects and changes in the image’s symbolic construction so that education and communication models art transformed. Image “techonologization” has changed the global conception for the actual meaning of images. Digital art as a new audiovisual expression media, where digital image has turned, within these few decades, in the new iconographic form. It has allowed technical procedures such as Video Mapping exploration to boom and constantly evolve in diverse contexts both graphic and audiovisual, yielding relevant changes in space and image perception, technique and interactibity, therefore promoting a progressive digital culture. Our core topic is established as Video Mapping aproximation applied to tridimentional objects and its relation to contemporary artistic creation. The purpose for this investigation is to find out how Contemporary Visual Arts apply mediatic and digital resources to create artistic experiences, referring to public art, ephemerall art, spectacle art, as categories to be analized, as well as reflectiong on the space concept and the importance of the viewer as an active figure. This proyect pretends to involve actively, in the interaction with the piece as well as spacially, the viewer from different city location; simultaneously, its cuestions on how these artistic experiences are created from Video Mapping as a technological resource and its actual aplication in the artistic local scene, towards understanding the impact these kind of activities have on viewers in Cali.
