Descripción
During the last decades, we have witnessed the resurgence of concern of the architects and engineers on the issues of climate comfort, thermal behavior and energy consumption of buildings and urban centers. The building sector, has a huge potential savings in the overall sum of the energy consumption of the planet and is possible that its percentage participation may continue rising during the next few years. The simulation of the energy performance of buildings makes sense, as a tool to achieve standards of comfort and reduce energy consumption by designing their envelopes, optimization of heating and cooling, the use of natural lighting and reduced consumption of potable water. Predictive simulation programs of the thermal and energy performance of buildings available on the market, use weather data as input files, obtained from different sources, especially from Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy EERE (U.S. Department of Energy) Cali has at least three automated meteorological networks, but their data have not yet been studied and tabulated for generating a weather data file, and the architects and researchers in the field are forced to the use unreliable files constructed with values obtained from the weather station of alfonso Bonilla aragon airport (Cali -alfonso Bonilla Valle COL MN6 WMO # = 802590) which is located in the neighbor town of Palmira. The aim of this study is the creation of a detailed climate data-base for Cali, based on hourly data from IDEaM, DaGMa and Cenicaña weather stations networks, to encourage and enable the development of new researches and offers a reliable predictive tool for simulation of the thermal and energy performance of buildings.
