Co-evolutionary Dynamics in Social Systems

This project will pursue advancement in theoretical perspectives in co-evolutionary systems, aggregation problems in organizations, and understanding of current processes of network dynamics.Through agent-based computational models, we aim to better understand how (network) structures and individual knowledge acquisition strategies jointly evolve, while focusing on aspects such as information dissemination, boundedly rational behavior and epistemic interdependence. In particular, we will construct theoretical frameworks aiming to provide insights on (i) the effect of temporal firm strategies in evolving attribute spaces, (ii) the causal link between the collective and the individual exploration-exploitation balance, and (iii) the connection between intra-group knowledge dynamics and communication structure dynamics.
