Climate mitigation potential of Colombia¿s lowland peatlands: distribution, emission factors and conservation priorities

Our overarching goal on this project is to provide a roadmap of peatland-driven climate mitigation under different land use and deforestation scenarios in the Colombian Amazon. Our proposed research builds on the recently published national wetlands map, the work that the USAID Paramos and Bosques program is currently developing in the Colombian Andes, and the global soil carbon map from CIFOR.}
