Getting research into action depends on the interface between the stakeholders, mediators who link the different research processes, research products and the larger context in which decision-making takes place. Implementation is an even more active process that involves systematic efforts to encourage adoption of the evidence by identifying and overcoming barriers. Knowledge about the effectiveness of knowledge translation activities in LMIC is limited.
