Alexander Gotthard Real

I’m a behavioral economist motivated by curiosity and a desire to understand how systems work. I believe that deep understanding fuels creativity and better problem-solving, making me a stronger researcher and consultant.

Research

I run experiments to understand why and when people transgress norms and how biases shape the interpretation of news and information. I’m also interested in behavioral finance—especially now that access to financial instruments is widespread. 

Teaching

I enjoy teaching—especially Behavioral Finance, Behavioral Economics, and Business Analytics —which I make more engaging by putting experimentation at the center. 

I’m passionate about making complex ideas clear, accessible, and engaging. In my classes, I work to create an environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, because curiosity is at the heart of meaningful learning.
