Abstract
This paper analyses traveler’s testimonies translated by Rodolfo Tro for Orígenes (1944-1956). Its purpose is to contextualize and explain what those voices from 19th Century said in the frame of this liter-ary magazine, which is one of the paradigmatic cultural projects in the mid-20th Century in Latin America.
