Abstract

In order to make a hermeneutical approach to the reality of the victims of the ar-med conflict in Colombia, a semantic analysis of the Beatitudes of Matthew chap-ter 5: verses 3-10, specifically verses 4 and 9 has been carried out. At first, the literary context of the text is analyzed and a structure is proposed. Subsequently, there is a semantic analysis of the text going into depth in the semantic fields of lexemes of vv. 4 and 9. Finally, there is an effort to introduce the victims of Gra-nada (Antioquia-Colombia) as blessed for being “able of sadness”, that means, being capable of solidarity, and thus, contributing in the construction of peace.
