Abstract
This paper aims to analyze some practices related to teaching-learning implemented in the Advanced Design Project course of the Visual Communication Design program of the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana de Cali, from the review and alignment with prerequisite subjects to the definition of a project methodology adapted to theneeds of the participants: students, teachers and project managers. This initiative seeks to optimize the quality of the methods and projects, as well as to guarantee the emotional security of the students. Through a systematic and collaborative approach,areas of opportunity in the teaching-learning process were identified and strategies were proposed to address them. Statements were also made about the course design, teaching methodologies and assessment activities implemented during the degree project. The results evidenced an impact on student engagement, the quality of the projects presented and overall satisfaction with the educational experience. It is expected that this proposal will contribute to academic excellence and to the integral support of students during the process of completing their university education.
