Abstract

Nowadays, users access Web-based Information Systems (WIS) through various devices (desktops, laptops, Mobile Devices (MD) such as cell phones or PDA). Ideally, when a user queries WIS, she/he expects information adapted according to her/his context of use. In our work, this context is represented by the personal characteristics of the user and the features of her/his access device. In parallel, WIS queried are more and more based on Web Services since this technology supplies advantages such as the interoperability between remote systems. This work aims to select Web Services adapted to context of use. In order to reach our goal we propose a framework which integrates the concept of Adapted Web Services (classical Web services adapted to a specific context of use) into PUMAS (framework able to select information adapted, located in different sources of information). This paper first establishes the definition and the formalization of the context of use and the sources of information and second describes our proposition.
