Abstract
Usability testing on children has had a more limited development than with adult users, by focusing on the assessment of products associated with entertainment and educational activities, but barely have tests been developed on security-related products. This article presents a process for selecting techniques of usability that may be developed with children, and focuses on its application in the evaluation of safety seatbelts used on school transport vehicles. As a result, a model of the process and some guidelines for the selection of techniques and design of the tests from the stages of development of children and of the indicators needed to evaluate the project are introduced.
