Abstract

The research is carried out through a qualitative methodology using an in-depth semistructured survey. The data is analyzed in the software at NVIDO using four categories of analysis. The results of corporate social responsibility and provides evidence to the emerging field of corporate social responsibility in developing countries. It has been found that corporate social responsibility is preceded by a sense of moral obligation and philanthropy centered on the company´s founding members´ values, the necessity to acquire a social license to operate in a conflict zone, the necessity to strengthen relationships with primary stakeholders, and the necessity to fill institutional gaps. CSR has an impact on the design of business models for hybrid forms and the creation of shared value, it broadens relationships with secondary stakeholders, such as local institutions, NGOs, or the environmental context in crisis, and it modifies the models of corporate governance by reliably involving the process of accountability, abided by international standards.
