Abstract
Bad practices in psychological research have affected the scientific status of knowledge in Psychology
and the Behavioral Sciences. This paper aims to show some mechanisms that could improve both
the research process and professional practice. The paper is divided into three sections: first,
Psychology as scientific activity in opposition to pseudoscience, that examines and suggests actions
to maintain this scientific principle; second, some recommendations on the research process and
its replication; and third, the process of publishing research as a methodological and theoretical
mechanism for self-correction. In general, there is constant discussion, beyond the scope of
epistemological questions, concerning the review of principles and practices supporting research
findings, and on the other hand, the vision of integrating technological tools to overcome barriers to
accessing consumption, production and dissemination of psychological knowledge.
