Abstract
In this paper, the design and experimental verification of a linearly polarized RLSA (Radial Line Slot Array) antenna for point to point microwave link using the IEEE 802.11a band (5.725-5.825 GHz) is presented. A novel feeding technique based on through holes emulating a stepped conical shape using three FR-4 substrate layers with a thickness of 1.6mm each one is proposed, allowing to obtain a relative bandwidth of 23.53% and an effective bandwidth of 1.46 GHz.
