Abstract

In private companies there are different social responsibility programs, aimed at generating an impact parallel to the one defined by their business. These types of programs seek to impact employees, their families, the local community and / or society in general.Samsung, as part of its social responsibility programs, promotes the Samsung Innovation Campus (SIC) that seeks to promote the certified training of young people belonging to vulnerable or neglected communities in areas related to technologies in order to improve employment prospects towards what is called the fourth industrial revolution. The program began operation in Russia and has been developed in countries such as Spain, Thailand, Chile, Peru and Colombia. For the implementation of the program in Colombia, an agreement was made with the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana to promote the linkage of participants throughout the national territory and seeking gender equality among participants, teachers and support personnel. The implemented program aims for participants to learn to program and solve real-world problems through programming and electronics. Throughout the program, students had the opportunity to learn to program in Scratch, Rurple, C Language, and Arduino. This document will expose the process of conception, convocation and implementation of the course, including the challenges and opportunities. Likewise, data on the level of coverage and achievements will be presented.
