Abstract

Obesity is a high-impact problem that significantly influences the health of individuals and the surrounding system, and it is based on a multidimensional etiology grounded in the social determinants of health. Therefore, the study and characterization of the problem through nutritional status surveys is essential. Additionally, public policy strategies will be recommended in Colombia to improve community health by promoting balanced nutrition and physical activity among university populations, taking into account perspectives from Mexico and Peru.
