Abstract
This article analyzes the news treatment that media gave to the objections to the Special Jurisdiction for Peace (JEP) raised by Colombian President Ivan Duque. Using a sample of 1496 news stories published online on 13 different Colombian media between February and June 2019, and applying content analysis to a subsample of the 121 news (the most shared on Facebook) we identify the use of a confrontational frame to produce information related to the JEP. While the 85 news that use the frame of conflict assume a posture in favor or against the JEP, the 36 that do not use that frame develop a posture that pretends to be balanced.
