National information policy: The national information systems in Cuba

Abstract

Fundamental concepts on metric disciplines were treated as well as its origin and development. The main theoric aspects of the quantitative analysis and their importance to explain the process that led to the development of them were analysed. Many valorations about the fundaments and basic components of these disciplines, useful to understand their potentialities for the information centers and libraries were carried out.
