Abstract
The present article tries to understand what hap-
pens to mental health in a working women group
in the context of subcontracting labor interme-
diation at Bogotá city. In the mark of a qualitative
methodology guided by speech analysis perspec-
tives with feminist orientation, we analyze the
texts that took place in some semi-structured
interviews done to nine subcontracted women,
starting from a dense description. The results
show some aspects linked to symbolic and social
gender constructions that enter in interlocution
with the speeches that circulate about mental
health in this context. We conclude that these
constructions cross the understanding of situa-
tions that interrogate mental health, the deter-
mination of possibilities to look for help and the
alternatives to solve situations of work escalation
that affect them
