Abstract
The present invention relates to a method for selectively producing metabolites from Galdieria sp. microalgae. The method of the present invention comprises multiplying microalgae biomass under mixotrophic and/or heterotrophic conditions in the presence of salts, separating the biomass, washing the biomass and inducing the production of metabolites, wherein the culture conditions of the metabolite production step depend on the molecule to be obtained.
