Marimba de chonta y poscolonialidad musical

Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

Abstract

This article traces the way the colonial imaginaries of musical, among them the ¿whitening¿ of sound and the scientific visions of the music, were the bases to the construction of the different ways in which Colombian people relate with music today. The postcolonial face of these imaginaries is found in several discourses such as multiculturalism and the world music that make traditional music to debate among inclusion and exclusion, desire and rejection.
