Abstract
The article aims to explain the horizon of anthropological understanding from which to express the intelligibility of faith and mystical experience, and its connection to the problem of human rights. It focuses on the elucidation of the ontological constitution of the personal being which is its intentional openness to the totality of being and thus, ultimately, its openness to God. From here, faith is understood as the acceptance of God's self-communication to the human being and of his loving project for human life and mysticism as an intensified experience of the encounter with God, which leads us to the understanding of the need to promote life.
