Abstract
Companies are called to reflect on the scope of their actions in the framework of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), even more in contexts such as Colombia, where rurality is the scenario of conflicts involving indigenous, Afro-descendent and peasants communities, this represents a challenge to the formulation of relationship strategies aimed at positively impacting the management of conflicts that, if they are not taken into account by companies, may be detrimental to their objectives. This article offers a critical reflection on the concept of CSR understood as a conflict management tool, assuming that its scope should go beyond the fulfillment of the legal obligations of the company, which must act with awareness of the asymmetry of rights of the rural communities and their consequences.
