Abstract
The objective of this article is to analyze the role that education has in personal care. The education, from a classic perspective, is how the individual apply an ensemble of practices in order to perfect themselves. In this case, the personal care is articulated to the interest someone has for himself. However, the education should not be considered just as a particular and applied practice of him/herself, but as a social practice. In this way, the personal care requires a mediator, where the fellow, the other, is indispensable for the self education.
