Abstract
The paper analyses the assurance measure against Andres Felipe Arias (Minister of Agriculture, Colombia 2006-2009) and Bernardo Moreno (General Secretary of The Presidency, Colombia 2004-2010), and the subsequent revocation by Superior Court of Bogotá. I examine the role of guarantee control, the requirements to impose the assurance measures and the preventive detention, showing that an exceptional measure has become a generality.
