Abstract
The Yomasa place located in Bogotá, Colombia, is considered an informal urban territory that has developed from processes of disorderly land occupation. This has had a negative impact on citizen security and the habitability, evidencing the hypothesis of this study in which a correlation between these two research constructs is proposed. Therefore, based on a methodology of participatory action research, and in a non-probabilistic sampling, several initiatives to improve citizen security framed in urban indicators of habitability were established.
