Abstract
In this article we consider problems regarding the government of working
women. Specifically, we focus on particular forms of governmentality that
operate on women of the third world. We tackle this objective, firstly, by
delineating the field of governmentality studies, then we approach the
debate about how this concept has been used within the field of work and
organization studies. Lastly, based on the problematizations and critiques
formulated by both feminism and postcolonial feminism to those approaches
we delimited the problem of the government of women within the contem-
porary work regimes.
