Abstract

The curricular basis for a pedagogy of theology from a critical-liberating perspective arises from the teacher education program in Theology at Universidad Santo Tomás (Colombia). This paper has three sections; the first two describe the reference framework and the theoretical reasoning in researches about the characterization of a theological pedagogy from critical pedagogy and liberation theology (2014-2017), as well as the high quality accreditation process from the Ministry of Education of Colombia (2016). The third section concludes that this reflection sees this curricular basis as a “critical” key, based on the vital and faith experience of the educational agents and establishing the “wisdom-knowledge-praxis” dynamic as axis for the educability of theological knowledge.
