Abstract
This paper aims to investigate the correlation between a pedagogical strategy outside the classroom and the development of oral communication skills in students, specifically focused on the presentation of degree projects of the Visual Communication Design program at Javeriana Cali. For this purpose, the Vital Cycle workshop was carried out, a self-evaluation rubric was applied, as well as the direct observation of a workshop session. It was identified that students value aspects such as respiratory awareness and the exposure of their fears, as elements that contribute significantly to improve their oral communication. The experiential approach to address emotional regulation and stage fright provided information to better understand the educational process. It is recommended to continue with this type of workshops, recognizing the importance of oral expression in university education and its relationship with various motivational factors that influence the learning process.
