Abstract
It was performed the extrapolation of solid-liquid mixing process of a propranolol compressed tablets using computersimulation, for that it was necessary to implement a preliminary experiment which consisted of three lots that wereproduced in triplicate. The compressed tablets obtained were evaluated for weight uniformity, thickness, hardness,friability, disintegration time and dissolution rate.With the results of the evaluation of the properties of the compressed tablets and using the Froude dimensionlessnumber, three scenarios were created in the Arena® simulator version 12.0., where the time (15 minutes) and speedof solid-liquid mix (400 rpm) were selected. These values were verified experimentally in a batch prepared in triplicate, suggesting that we achieved extrapolation of the solid-liquid mix process of propranolol compressed tablets usingcomputer simulation.
