Abstract

The following research gives an experimental assessment of the exposure of cochlear implants to electromagnetic fields. To do so, a phantom of the human body and a model of a cochlear implant were used. After analyzing a crucial case of electromagnetic exposure to an Implantable Medical Device (IMD), it was discovered that the electric fields surrounding it are in compliance with existing regulations.
