Abstract

In recent years, specially during pandemics, migration from the cities to the rural areas was observed, bringing some unwanted effects within rural communities, as these former citizens did not adapt their previous consumption and urbanizing habits to the new conditions, and just benefitted from the low prices of land and water in the country side, urbanizing the mountains and building structures such as spas and swimming pools, eroding the watersheds and depleting the limited amount of potable water available for the entire community.
