Abstract
is document presents the analysis of the experiencesof some families linked to the reintegration process of ex-combatants in Colombia in order to deepen the influence thatthe armed conflict has had on their structures, configurationsand dynamics. In 2017, 11 interviews and 10 focus groupswere held with former combatants in the reintegration process,as well as with family members and professionals fromthe Colombian Reincorporation and Normalization Agency(ARN), in the cities of Ibagué, Bogotá, Soacha and Villavicencio. e information was analyzed using inductive and deductivecontent analysis methodology with a directed approach. eresults offer an in-depth analysis of family structures, theirdynamics and configurations in the context of the armedconflict. e family is a space of risk and protection, in it weidentify generational reproduction of the relationship patternsof the conflict, of stigma and violation, but in it forgiveness, return, care and the possibility of a country at peace coexist. It isimportant to incorporate families as a fundamental element ofpublic policies and programs developed within the frameworkof disarmament, demobilization, and reincorporation of formercombatants.
