Abstract

A survey on soils from the Huerta of Valencia (Spain) irrigated throughout 20 years or more wlth wastewaters was carried out to determine the concentrations of some heavy metals and their relation with several soil properties through multivariant statistical analysis. The Zn, Cr and Mo concentrations were found to be correlated each other as well as with the soil properties through processes described by Ross (1994) and indicate potential risks of heavy metal contamination of the soils tested.
