Escatología como esperanza cristiana: Posición crítica frente al sistema neoliberal

Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

Abstract

This article, which is a result of a research process, develops a very particular way of understanding eschatology and the way how Christian hope unfolds critically, before some elements that make part of the neo-liberal system. To do so, in the first part a general panorama of neo-liberalism is proposed from its diverse conceptions and structure and then, from the adoption of some elements of the Critical Theory, to reveal the ideologies and its manifestations in relation to religion. In the second part, eschatology will be treated by making a tour through all the diverse conceptions that Christian Theology History has had, to arrive to Jürgen Moltmann?s vision of «Christian hope». Next, the critical theory will be re-taken with respect of ideologies and utopias, connected to the criticism of the Christian person before his/ her context and moved by the resurrection promise of Christ?s Cross, in order to witness how eschatology from the Christian hope, is presented as an alternative to the ideological pretension of neo-liberalism.
